Council Associate Steps–
Work Sheet on Basic Concepts
We introduced our WHEEL Council Associate program at our Training of
Trainers, April, 1999. It is a program where storytellers and preventionists
become certified in our
products and then can give trainings in the products an earn 40% of
the sales of the products.
These are the steps in becoming a WHEEL Associate:

Attend three day Training of Trainers
-
Complete a work sheet on the basic concepts of the Storytelling Project,
the Learning Wheel and the Storytelling PowerBook.

Send a videotape of yourself implementing an activity from the product
you want to be certified in.

Complete an oral telephone interview with a WHEEL staff member.
-
Complete the WHEEL Associate contract.

Be assigned a geographic district.

Comment on how stories work to effect the mind and activate healing.

Describe the risk and protective factors that the Storytelling PowerBook
is built on.

List the teaching goals for at least three sections of the Storytelling
PowerBook.

Describe how the symbols, characters, archetypes and scenes in stories
affect the mind.
-
Describe the hero-heroine journey and how this can be personalized
to understanding tests and adversity in life. Give an example from
your life.
-
Create an archetype chart for your self using the Storytelling
Project.

Write a story using the Storytelling Project.
-
Define the five intelligences from the Learning Wheel.
Describe the importance of using expanded intelligence.
-
Create an activity to use with others using the Learning Wheel short
form.
