NREPP - Included in SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices.The WHEEL Council Storytelling for Empowerment program is listed by NREPP. Here are some of our outcomes:

  • Decreased alcohol and marijuana use

  • Increased perception of harm

  • Increased self efficacy to turn down drugs when offered by a friend

  • Increased knowledge of drugs and addiction

  • Increased ability to stop sexual advances

  • Increased ability to talk about sex with friends or a partner

  • Increased knowledge of AIDS/HIV and STIs, transmission, methods of prevention

  • Increase in family communication as reported by parents
